We are coming to a good place. We are seeing God's hand in all of this and that He is bringing us to where He wants us. Dependent on Him, fully surrendered.
Instead of focusing on the deep, challenging lessons God is teaching us, I will instead give a little snap shot of our day yesterday. It was a good day- mostly ;)
Matt was exercising before breakfast and Micah was copying everything Matt was doing.
Hot- out- of -the- oven banana cake and creamy fruit smoothie.....mmmmmm!
I was making tortillas with Micah next to me on a chair. I caught him just eating the balls of dough! Notice his undies? Yup- Micah is potty training :)
Leah was a big help in rolling out the tortillas with me and Brianna is in the background working on a sewing project.
So yummy tortillas!
This right here is the best BLT wrap I have ever had!
Brianna continues her project....
We have incorporated what I am calling "Skill" time on our daily schedule. It is something new, and I will (maybe) share later about an opportunity God gave Matt, Cameron, Alissa, and myself last weekend to be challenged about how we spend our time. Anyway, in just two days during Alissa's Skill Time, she whipped out these drawings with just a regular Quiet Seat prize type pencil! I got her some good sketching pencils last night, so who knows what she'll be able to do now :)
Caleb is learning about wiring and electricity. I was out with Andrew and got a text from Caleb asking if I could stop and pick up two 1-foot sections of insulated copper wire, a 6-volt battery, and a 6-volt bulb. He's determined to learn! Cameron has been immersed in learning HTML.
Herman has the life. He just observes the goings-on from his vantage point and swims to his hearts content!
It was raining hard last night, but that didn't stop the basketball team from playing. There were some near mishaps with the slippery court and ball, but they had a great time!
Thanking God for all His blessings~
Love these posts and love all the pictures and updates. Alissa's art work! Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates on everyone! If Caleb has electrical questions, Grampy might be able to help him out.
