easter sunday hike

A beautifully refreshing hike up Peaked Mountain on Easter Sunday afternoon.  An awesome day~

missions conferences

We had back to back missions conferences in March.  One was in NH and the other in MA.

I loved the NH one as it gave us a chance to visit old friends and was extremely encouraging.  I will treasure the memories of this conference for a very long time!  Also, Leah was challenged herself to be a missionary.  Right now she is thinking Papua New Guinea as she made friends with an MK from there, Katelyn.  :)

What a special treat to visit with our friends and be treated to Denise's famous and delicious cooking!

The conference in MA was a 6 day conference.  What thoughtful things the church had in mind for us!  Who would have thought Alissa, Brianna, and I would be treated to a manicure and pedicure?
After the spa, we girls were treated to La Fiorentinas....amazing!

Every night we had dinner at the church- and often we had breakfast and lunch there as well.

On one of the nights they called us up front and gave each member of our family a big bag filled with personalized gifts.  From CDs to kettle bells to play dough to socks to Patriots flip flops to favorite books to scarves to pens to Chutes and Ladders to goldfish to maple syrup and much more.....  they weren't called Blessing Bags for no reason.  We felt truly blessed.

One day they took us to a mall and gave us spending money (along with someone to go along with us to be sure we spent the money on ourselves!) after treating us to lunch.  This church sure made us feel loved!

Matt was able to share from his heart about Hope for Kids.

What a great couple of weeks!

birthdays

We've had some birthdays around here.  Matt and Micah celebrated their special days one right after the other!

It's no secret how much Micah adores his daddy, either :)

Matt's birthday fell on a day that we were part of a missions conference so we had a late night celebration.  It was pretty neat thought, because the church treated all its missionaries to a shopping trip to a nearby mall!  Matt was able to hang out with a good friend from church and spend some money on himself.  He also got to see the rest of his family go on a shopping spree as well- it was a great day for him.

Our tradition is to take each child out for a meal on their birthday.  Micah wanted Gio's pizza and chips.  Matt bought the food and brought it to the office where Micah and I met him for lunch.  Micah LOVED it!  He felt so special and totally enjoyed his meal.

Brianna made Micah's cake as well as the mini football hot dogs, sweet potato fries, and bacon.  What a great job she did!

Happy Birthday to the oldest and youngest members of the Currier family!

So I've been doing a lot of thinking.  And resting.  And praying.  And reflecting. I can't believe I am a grandmother- with two mo...
