Poor Andrew was sick on his birthday. It was the cough at the end of a cold, but it was a continuous, loud cough. He opted to still go out for his birthday lunch- but we ate in the car!
It's hard to believe he is 12 years old. 12 seems so much older than 11. He is growing up! Andrew is a bundle of energy, fun, humor, and brilliance. He amazes me with the way his mind works so quickly and retains almost all of what he puts into it! And like his father, he relies on prayer a lot. We are praying for his faith to continue to grow and that he never loses sight of the fact that prayer and complete dependence on God is just the place where God wants him.
Andrew has a unique love for the kids we reach out to with HFK. And THEY love HIM! He prays consistently for the ones that God has put on his heart and he has even started saving his money so that he can buy things (like gum or candy!) for the kids as he sees they need some cheering up :) Keep that heart for God and for others, Drewie!
