Deerfield Fair 2016

I am appreciating the family times more than usual these days.  The Deerfield Fair has been a family tradition since I was a little girl.  It is something that we've made every effort to go to as long as we were close enough to do it!

Every part of the day was perfect!  The weather, the food, the surprise of cousins that skipped school and came, the grandparents, the circus, and did I mention the food? :)

Leah was so surprised to see the friend she met at Alton Bay!

Micah was pretty tired by the time we left and was asleep in the car in no time!

leah's birthday- 8 years old

Leah wanted a nature themed birthday party this year and she wanted to invite her best Hope for Kids friends.  After picking up her friends, they made their own trail mix, then we went on a hike, had a nature scavenger hunt, played on the tire swing, and enjoyed cake and ice cream.  It was a super fun day for a sweet, imaginative, full of life girl who no longer needs a booster seat in the car :)

Leah brings joy to everyone she meets with her smile, compassion, love, and ability to make friends with anyone at anytime!

little kid fun

I love still having little kids.  My mind often gets caught up in the big kid world- wedding planning, life goals, Paradise Lost, big projects, etc.  When my sweet little girl wants to make a "tepee" to play in with her little brother, it makes me stop and remember how blessed I am to still have little ones and enjoy the moments.

Turning the garden into a secret place.....oh the adventures they had there this summer!
